PROJECT SUMMARY

 Inspection Conveyor 

GOAL:

           Build inexpensive powered device to regulate speed of visual
           inspection of non-woven product.  Also reduce effort for manual
           stacking of web on shipping pallet.

STARTING POINT:

            Utilize abandoned nip roll device from early production
            experiment.

FEATURES:

            Variable speed drive.
            Local-Remote operation.
            Operator “dead-man” foot pedal for inspector to stop unit for
            spot repairs.
                     Releasing pedal stops drive and opens nip.  
                     Pressing pedal closes nip and starts drive.
             Floor locks to easily anchor where ever needed.
             Complete safety guarding.
